Residents of DeSoto were subjected to a spree of property damage and pranks recently, as reported in a series of emergency calls to the local police department. According to an update shared on the DeSoto Police Department's Facebook page, the mischief included damaged mailboxes, front doors, garage doors, solar lights, and landscaping decor.

Thanks to citizen vigilance, the suspect's vehicle, a gray Ford Escape, was promptly identifiable by officers. Bravo Shift officers of the DeSoto Police skillfully worked to track down the delinquents, which were later found to be a group of juveniles sneaking out for a night of random acts of mischief. "The juveniles were identified and their parents are cooperating with law enforcement," stated the DeSoto Police Department social media post. The juveniles, now facing misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief and theft, have their fate in the hands of justice.

In light of these events, residents are encouraged to inspect their property for damage and jog their memory for any suspicious activity that may have been witnessed or captured on surveillance. DeSoto Police are asking any additional victims to call (972) 223-6111 and file a report. They also request the sharing of any photo or video evidence to further ensure that those affected by the juveniles' actions can properly search to have justice served.
