The Detroit Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing 59-year-old man, Kerry Mitchell, who disappeared earlier this month. According to ClickOnDetroit, Mitchell was last seen last Monday leaving his residence on the 18600 block of Mark Twain in Detroit, and he has not made contact since.
Mitchell, having a height of 5′6″ and weighing around 180 pounds, with black braids, was last seen wearing a black jacket, jogging pants, and boots. As noted by his landlord, Mitchell lives with bipolar disorder, which adds a layer of urgency to the need for locating him. Without returning home, Kerry Mitchell left his residence in a state that may suggest he needed assistance.
To spread the word and gather leads, the Detroit Police Department's Missing Persons unit posted on Facebook, urging anyone with information on Mitchell's whereabouts to contact Detroit's 8th Precinct at (313) 596-5840 or call 911.
