A blaze early this morning in Westmoreland County's Manorfield Circle destroyed one townhome and damaged another with smoke. According to WPXI, firefighters rushed to the scene around 2:19 a.m. to combat the fire, which had engulfed a garage and rapidly spread to the residence's first floor.
Officials believe the incident began as a garage fire. According to WTAE, the blaze quickly spread, causing considerable damage to the building where it started and damaging the neighboring home with smoke.
White Valley Volunteer Fire Chief John Bohinc told WPXI, "one townhome is a total loss and another has smoke damage." Westmoreland emergency dispatchers have reported that medics treated one person at the scene.
