Early this morning, at approximately 2:30 a.m., the 7-Eleven on Route 3 North in Gambrills fell victim to a commercial robbery. A store clerk, finding himself in a precarious situation, reported that the perpetrator leapt over the counter, commanding him to lie on the floor. According to the Anne Arundel County Police, the suspect implied possession of a firearm, but the clerk was not able to visually confirm the presence of a weapon.
The investigation, currently underway by Western District detectives, is working to uncover details about an indeterminate number of accomplices who managed to flee the scene with an undisclosed sum of money. Witnesses or individuals with knowledge of the incident are being urged to come forward and offer to assist the police by providing any useful information.
