
A harrowing incident unfolded at a Sinclair Gas station in Cordelia, Fairfield. Yesterday, police dispatch received an urgent call of a fight involving a weapon at the gas station's convenience store, as reported by the Fairfield Police Department via social media.
The attack commenced when a 55-year-old man, identified as Conrad Alvarez, forcefully went behind the store's counter and assaulted the female employee. The worker tried to defend herself using a wooden stick, only to have Alvarez wrench it away to continue his violent onslaught. When officers arrived at the scene, they faced a struggle before subduing and arresting Alvarez.
Following the incident, the Fairfield Police informed the public that Alvarez is currently detained at Solano County Jail, facing attempted murder and hate crime charges.
