
Tragedy struck early Thursday morning on the 60 Freeway in Diamond Bar when two semi-trucks collided, leaving one person dead and another injured. The incident, which occurred near the 57 Freeway interchange, resulted in lanes being blocked and a subsequent traffic backup during the morning commute. ABC7 reports that the collision happened shortly after 4 a.m. and involved two semitrucks overturning.
Authorities have been working hard to comprehensively investigate the cause of the crash. According to FOX LA, the California Highway Patrol has not yet released the names of the crash victims. A SigAlert was issued in the aftermath, impacting travel on three lanes from the eastbound 60 to the northbound 57.
