A tragic head-on collision occurred late last week, resulting in one fatality and several injuries. The accident occurred on Roberts Rd., near Renmill Dr., where Adrianna Castillo's Toyota Camry, driving in the wrong lane, collided with a Toyota Corolla just before midnight last Friday, according to a report released by the Columbus Division of Police.
Emergency responders were quick to the scene, with Columbus Fire Medic #26 transporting Ms. Castillo to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in critical condition. In her passengers, the front-seat passenger of the Corolla was delivered to Riverside Methodist Hospital while exhibiting stable vital signs, and the Corolla's driver was taken to Ohio Health Doctor’s Hospital in stable condition. Sadly, despite the efforts of medical staff, Ms. Castillo's injuries proved critical, and she was pronounced dead last Saturday.
The collision's aftermath saw the Corolla rest in the secondary westbound lane after rotating counterclockwise, while the Camry continued briefly eastbound before stopping in the eastbound #1 lane. Columbus Police Accident Investigation Unit has initiated an investigation to piece together the specifics of this incident, as mentioned in their official communication.
