A fatal traffic incident has unfolded in Southeast Houston, leading to the closure of the BW-8 eastbound service road at Sabo. A multi-vehicle accident, involving four cars, has resulted in at least one fatality, a woman in critical condition, an adult in stable condition, and a 7-year-old with minor injuries. The crash took place near 11400 South Sam Houston Parkway, near Sabo Road, as reported by FOX26 Houston.
According to Click2Houston, commuters in the area are advised to find alternate routes as the eastbound service road is expected to remain inaccessible for several hours during the investigation. Eyewitness accounts suggest that an 18-wheeler flatbed truck was involved in the collision, striking all for vehicles before fleeing the scene. Authorities are now seeking surveillance footage from neighboring convenience stores in hopes of better identifying the truck.
Houston police have yet to release the identity of the individual who was killed in the incident. They have, however, issued a call to the public, urging anyone who might spot a heavily damaged flatbed truck to report it immediately by calling 911 or Crime Stoppers, according to FOX26 Houston.
