Valentine's Day is a time for humans to find love and a chance for furry companions to find a forever home. The annual Smooches & Pooches event, hosted by Fort Worth Animal Care & Control, invites the public to potentially find their new best friend at their adoption events on February 13-15. According to an article on the city's official website, this event will be featured at two PetSmart satellite adoption centers, giving ample opportunity for connections to be made.

Prospective pet owners can visit the PetSmart locations at 2901 Texas Sage Trail and 4800 S.W. Loop 820 in Fort Worth anytime between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. during the event days to meet a variety of adoptable animals. To truly encourage these connections, all adoption fees will be waived, and the first 10 adoptions at each location on Saturday are set to receive a special adoption gift bag, as noted by the City of Fort Worth.

Furthermore, Saturday, February 15, offers an extended invitation to pet owners. The event will expand to two city shelters, the North Animal Campus and the Chuck & Brenda Silcox Center, from noon to 6 p.m. for a special Valentine's Day adoption drive. Not only can attendees connect with adoptable pets, but they can also take advantage of free pet vaccinations available from noon until 4 p.m. for their current pets, adding an extra layer of appeal to the day.

All animals that are up for adoption have been fully vaccinated, heartworm tested, on preventatives, and spayed/neutered, ensuring they are ready to effortlessly integrate into their new homes. This thorough preparation is part of Fort Worth Animal Care & Control's commitment to ensure the well-being of their animals and to provide quality pets to the community.
