In an effort to promote pet safety and reduce the number of lost animals, the Forest Hill Police Department has announced a free microchipping event for pet owners. Set to take place on March 15, the initiative aims to ensure all dogs and cats in the Forest Hill and Everman communities can be easily identified and reunited with their owners if they stray away from home. According to a social media post from the Forest Hill Police Department, microchipped pets are three times more likely to find their way back to their families.
The event, scheduled from 10am to 12pm at Forest Hill City Hall located at 3291 E California Pkwy, Forest Hill, TX 76119, is not only offering a service but responding to a new requirement for all pets in Everman and Forest Hill to have a microchip.
It's important to note that the free microchipping service is being offered by Municipal Animal Services, a clear indicator of the local government's commitment to public service and animal welfare.
