A former elementary school teacher pled guilty to numerous charges of child sexual assault. Kim Kenneth Wilson, once a teacher at Del Paso Heights Elementary School in Northern California, admitted to nine counts of lewd acts upon a child on Tuesday. According to a release from the Sacramento District Attorney's Office, Wilson acknowledged allegations involving multiple victims and accepted aggravating factors added to his charges due to the vulnerability of the victims and his position of trust as their teacher.

The case, prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Brandon Jack, revealed that Wilson used his role to exploit young girls, whom he invited to the private media/broadcasting room established under his leadership for dishonest purposes—he committed sex acts there and in some instances, at his own residence, the crimes were not limited to the broadcasting room but extended to events at Wilson's home, which posed another violating front to their innocence.

During the investigation, police executed a search at Wilson's property, uncovering disturbing evidence including child-sized sex toys and recordings of the sexual assaults on various media. The collection spanned several years and featured multiple students, with some content distressingly showing Wilson forcing the students to speak and act sexually on camera.

As part of a plea agreement, Wilson faces a sentence of 215 years to life. However, due to the specifics of California law, he may be eligible for release later in life after serving a fraction of that time. The 64-year-old is set to become eligible for an Elder Parole hearing after serving 20 years, which, with accrued in-custody credits, could be reduced to about 17 years. His sentencing is scheduled for August 22 at the Sacramento Superior Court.
