
A somber update comes from the Forest Hill Police Department regarding a shooting investigation at a business on Mansfield Hwy. The incident, which occurred last Friday, resulted in the death of two persons and left another injured. The victims' identifications are pending, but the accused shooter, former employee Rafael Arreguin, has been arrested and charged with murder. In a public statement released by the department, it was revealed that after the officers and emergency personnel transported three seriously wounded individuals to local hospitals, two were pronounced deceased.
The Forest Hill Police Department, with assistance from multiple law enforcement agencies, has worked to identify all individuals involved quickly. The investigative effort led to the pinpointing of Rafael Arreguin as the shooter and the successful obtaining of a warrant for his arrest. The department stated that he was apprehended last night without incident in Fort Worth and is now being held at the Everman/Forest Hill Regional Jail.
Multiple agencies have been thanked for collaborating in the ongoing investigation, including the Texas Rangers, Everman, Fort Worth, Kennedale Police Departments, and the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office.
