Four individuals sustained injuries following a collision yesterday in Holland Township. As reported by WZZM 13, Ottawa County Sheriff's Office deputies rushed to the scene of the accident at US-31 and Quincy Street at approximately 7 a.m.

A 38-year-old Ontario woman, who was one of the drivers, indicated she was driving north on US-31 when her vehicle was struck at the intersection. She mentioned she didn't remember what color the traffic light was at the time. The other driver, a 28-year-old woman from Holland, reported she likewise did not remember the crash occurring at all. Deputies present at the scene noted that subsequent to the collision, the vehicles hit a utility pole, subsequently causing the traffic lights to fall onto the road, an incident that led to an extended closure of the intersection.

As specified by FOX 17 News, the crash occurred at 6:58 a.m., and both drivers were transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The driver from Ontario also had two passengers in her car; a 41-year-old woman and an 11-year-old girl, both also from Ontario, Canada. They too were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

With the investigation still actively ongoing, officials are working to determine the cause of the incident and any potential fault among the involved parties. The aftermath of the crash and the temporary intersection closure brought about disruption to the local traffic flow, and the swift action of emergency services ensured that all injured parties received the necessary medical attention.
