The Raleigh Police Department disclosed that the multiple calls of shots fired around 11 p.m. near the 1000 block of Auston Grove Drive required immediate attention, and upon arriving at the scene, authorities found four men with gunshot wounds.
All victims were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital, with injuries described as non-life-threatening. As the incident develops, CBS 17 provides updates, stating that police are still in the process of gathering evidence to ascertain the dynamics of the shooting. In tandem, ABC11 added that the victims were discovered across two locations: the Auston Grove scene and North Rogers Lane in a shopping center parking lot, complicating the situation for investigators.

Sean Lassiter, who lives near the scene, remarked on the severity of the experience, "[I was watching UFC pay-per-view [and] my son was playing the game," he said. "Started with rumblings in the wall." Initially dismissing it as an overhead helicopter, Lassiter quickly realized the gravity of the situation, describing it as "pretty loud [and] intense."
Meanwhile, another local resident, Jaquez Knox, expressed his shock to WRAL, given the neighborhood's usual tranquility, "This area is so nice," he said. With the investigation pressing forward, community members anxiously await answers and the return of peace to their corner of east Raleigh.
