A 21-year-old fugitive, Anthony Provencio, was taken into custody on Wednesday following a one-hour standoff with deputies in east El Paso, as per KFOX-TV. He was located at the 2000 block of Solano Drive, not far from JM Hanks Early College High School.

The standoff, which led to the arrest of the wanted man, was a coordinated effort involving deputies from El Paso County Constable's Office of Precincts 1, 2, and 6, and after more than an hour, Provencio was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Jail without further incidents, this was confirmed by a statement from the Constable's Office obtained by KTSM.

It was revealed by a precinct spokesperson that an alert for active PR Bond revocation warrants had been issued for Provencio, according to KVIA. These were connected to charges including two counts of Aggravated Sexual Assault and one count of Sexual Assault, resulting in a combined bond of $130,000 post-standoff. Alongside these, Provencio was already wanted on additional counts of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity related to a March 2020 incident at the Chamizal, where he was previously arrested with his father.
