In an update on a recent Gresham shooting, authorities have disclosed the identity of the victim following his death from sustained gunshot wounds. Martin Jose Gutierrez, 28, was attacked on January 20, on the 2800 block of NE Rene Avenue, Gresham officials reported. Despite being hospitalized immediately after the incident, Gutierrez succumbed to his injuries last Wednesday. The Multnomah County Medical Examiner's Office has declared his death a homicide, attributable to the gunshot injuries he suffered.
The Gresham Police Department, alongside the East County Major Crimes Team (MCT) aid, continues its search for answers. These investigative bodies are calling upon the public for any relevant information. Gutierrez's family has been notified and is presently grieving in privacy, the need for which was stressed in the original release.
