Due to a police investigation, officials have announced a delayed opening for the popular Hawai'i beach destination. Instead of the crack-of-dawn 7 a.m. open time beachgoers are accustomed to, the park is set to welcome visitors at a more leisurely 8 a.m, as reported by the Hawai‘i Police Department.
For those keen on catching the perfect wave, holding your horses until the police wrap up their morning probe is advisable. According to a notice published Monday, the Hawai‘i Police Department are asking anyone planning on driving or trotting down to the sandy shores to refrain from entering the park before 6 a.m. while they conduct their investigation.
