
A man has been arrested after an altercation that escalated into a road rage incident in Harris County on Thursday morning, officials reported. The confrontation occurred around 8:45 a.m. near Aldine Westfield Road and Old Cypresswood Drive. The incident involved two drivers who initially exited their vehicles and became involved in a physical altercation, as mentioned by FOX 26 Houston.
A man assaulted a woman while she was in her car. She fired a shot with a handgun, and he let go. The Pct 4 Constable's Office took the suspect into custody. He has been charged with assault. According to the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 on their Facebook page, "Deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s office have a male suspect in custody for Assault near Aldine Westfield Road and Old Cypresswood Drive following a road rage." The investigation stated, "Investigation revealed the male suspect exited his vehicle and assaulted the female victim who was still in her car. While being assaulted, she grabbed her handgun and fired a shot and he released her." Authorities have not released the identities of those involved or details on what led to the altercation. The suspect was taken into custody, and the investigation is ongoing. No further injuries were reported at the time.
