A tragic incident occurred in Putnam County where a 26-year-old Hastings woman died after falling off of a moving truck, the Florida Highway Patrol reported. Action News Jax indicated that the accident happened around 5:30 p.m. on Yelvington Road as the woman was sitting in the bed of the truck.
In a separate account of the incident, it was noted by First Coast News that the victim fell from the right side of an truck, striking the pavement while the vehicle was still in motion.

News4Jax reported that she attempted to crawl through the window of the pickup truck while it was still in motion. The driver of the pickup, a 39-year-old man, was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident, however, the passenger was not restrained.
