Recent developments have led to Henderson Police Chief Hollie Chadwick being placed on leave. Chadwick, who has been with the department since 2002 and was appointed chief in May 2023, is on leave under circumstances that are being handled through administrative discretion, as reported by News 3 Las Vegas.
According to a report by Channel 13, multiple sources have disclosed that Chief Chadwick’s current situation stems from a closed-door meeting held yesterday. In the meeting, she was reportedly given an ultimatum: to resign within three weeks or face termination.
Police hierarchy and personnel matters are often kept private, and the City of Henderson’s approach has adhered to this practice. It is known that Chief Chadwick has held several roles during her career, including officer in charge, field training officer, and crisis negotiator. She advanced from sergeant to lieutenant before being appointed as the department's chief two years ago.
Deputy Chief Itzhak Henn has assumed the role of acting chief during this period. Henn, stepping into a position held by a chief with nearly two decades of experience in various department roles, now focuses on maintaining continuity and stability.
