The search for answers in the hit-and-run death of Lilia Vazquez Nunez continues as Houston authorities and her family appeal for public help. At a recent press conference held by Crime Stoppers of Houston and the Houston Police Department, officials urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward. According to CW39, Nunez was running on the 9200 block of Westpark Dr. in Houston when a westbound vehicle struck her and fled the scene.
Her eldest daughter, Ariana, said, "Since December 13th, my family and I have been restless, trying to figure out how to move forward without any answers," in a statement obtained by Click2Houston. She explained the ongoing pain, "My family is still stuck in 2024 and will be reliving December 13th over and over again until the driver of this truck is found."
Authorities have not released much information about the vehicle or the suspect. "I wonder if the driver of this truck has been able to live their life normally or if they're being haunted by the events of December 13th like I am," Ariana told Click2Houston.
