Jason Isaac Foust, 21, was arrested and charged with murder after a shooting at a home on 530 Edgebrook Drive. Houston police said the shooting happened on Tuesday at 7:55 p.m. A 47-year-old man died, but his name has not been released pending identification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, according to the Houston Police Department.
Houston police officers responded to a call from the Fire Department and found a victim with a fatal gunshot wound. The suspect, Foust, was also at the scene with a firearm. Paramedics saw Foust inside the home with the gun before he placed it in a vehicle and returned inside. Officers later detained him, as reported by the Houston Police Department.
Foust, the son of the deceased, has been charged with murder in the 208th State District Court and is being held in Harris County Jail. The Harris County District Attorney's Office is handling the case, with Houston Police Department Homicide Division's Sergeant C. Lamont and Detective A. Herrera leading the investigation. Authorities have not released details about the motive or circumstances. An official booking photo of Foust was included in the news release. "Foust was subsequently charged for his role in the shooting," the report stated.
