Houston police are investigating a fatal incident that happened last Saturday morning at 100 Aldine Bender Road. Around 9:30 a.m., a man was struck and killed. His name has not been released as officials verify his identity. Reports suggest he was in the street, outside a crosswalk, and may have been sitting in a traffic lane when the crash occurred, accoridng to the Houston Police Department.
Authorities are investigating how the man came to be on the road. He was struck by a blue Toyota RAV4 traveling eastbound. According to Sergeant A. Patterson and Officer N. Kumar of the Houston Police Department Vehicular Crimes Division, the driver stayed at the scene.
