The incident occurred around midnight at the intersection of Synott Road and Ashford Point Drive in west Houston, with emergency responders promptly dispatched to the scene.
The injured man, described as being in his late 20s, sustained a gunshot wound and was rushed to a hospital, where he is expected to recover. Security footage from the gas station provided authorities with a visual account of the clash. According to Click2Houston's report, the altercation began when the victims attempted to depart the parking lot and accidentally backed into another vehicle, leading to a heated argument and subsequent physical confrontation.
Houston Police Department (HPD) officers arrived on the scene to discover the sequence of events that led to the shooting. After the initial confrontation turned physical, the driver of the struck vehicle attempted to flee. It was then that someone from the opposing party opened fire, striking the vehicle and injuring one of its occupants. As per FOX26 Houston, HPD Lieutenant Ali said the incident was captured on surveillance video, providing crucial evidence in the ongoing investigation.
