Houston authorities are on the lookout for a suspect involved in the deadly shooting of a woman on Barker Cypress Road earlier this week. According to the official news release, the Houston Police Department (HPD) responded to a call at approximately 9:05 p.m. yesterday, finding the victim with gunshot wounds inside a black BMW.

The HPD has released a surveillance photo showing the suspect, currently identified only as a Black male wearing a gray Nike T-shirt, green pants, and black-and-white shoes. He was seen leaving the passenger seat of the victim's vehicle shortly before the incident. Investigators, including HPD Homicide Division Detectives H. Montealegre and G. Rangel, are working quickly to gather more information and locate the individual responsible.

While the victim, a 48-year-old female, has yet to be publicly identified pending formal verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, the aftermath of the tragic event has sparked a citywide manhunt. Houston Fire Department paramedics also arrived at the scene, but they pronounced the woman deceased.
