A body was found in a retention pond within Jesse H. Jones Park, near the Kenswick neighborhood, this week. According to Click2Houston, the discovery, made yesterday afternoon, is being investigated by the Harris County Pct. 4 Constable’s Office and the Humble Police Department. The body was located in the 20600 block of Kenswick Drive, and authorities are continuing their investigation.
Authorities investigating the discovery of the body believe it to be that of a white male, possibly in his late 20s to early 30s. While the park is usually a peaceful area, law enforcement officers were seen in the vicinity as they worked, asking people to avoid the scene. At 6:31 p.m., Harris County Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman posted on social media, advising the public to stay away as the investigation by constable deputies and Humble police officers continued, as reported by KHOU 11.
The investigation is in its early stages, and no information has been revealed regarding how or why the man's body was found submerged in the water. Authorities are asking anyone with relevant information to come forward, as it could assist in understanding the circumstances surrounding the incident. "Right now, details are limited," a spokesperson on the scene confirmed to Click2Houston.
