After a quarter-mile sprint, Wilson surrendered to Officer Zackary Maryland. The Sheriff's Office shared this message: "If you choose to run, you’ll just go to jail tired." As the post put it, "When 25-year-old Jordan Wilson tried to hoof it after handing off illegal drugs, he didn’t count on your #JSO Mounted Unit being hot on his tail," as reported by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office on their Facebook page, they posted a video of the Mounted Unit during a recent crime chase. The post recognized the horses involved, stating, "While Nash is the star of the video, we want to give a big shoutout to fellow crime-fighting steeds Jaxx, Judge, and Duke, for making sure justice was the mane priority." It also added, "Our Mounted Unit doesn’t just horse around when it comes to crime!" The video demonstrated the Mounted Unit's role in law enforcement.
