Philadelphia is gearing up for its largest annual cleanup event. Mayor Cherelle Parker is rallying residents to contribute to the 2025 Philly Spring Cleanup on April 5, with a collective goal of transforming Philadelphia into the nation's safest, cleanest, and greenest city.
According to the City of Philadelphia announcement, the PSC aims to mobilize community members for various projects, from park maintenance to neighborhood beautification. These efforts include planting and greening spaces that embellish the city and foster community spirit. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and tackle ambitious targets like removing 100,000 pounds of trash, engaging 5,000 volunteers, and cleaning up 500 residential blocks, among other objectives.
