
A juvenile was critically wounded in a shooting that took place yesterday afternoon near W. Cesar E. Chavez Blvd and S. Colorado St. in San Antonio. Fox San Antonio reports that the San Antonio Police Department responded to the incident around 1:15 p.m. and found a juvenile suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
The individual was promptly transported to the hospital and is currently listed in critical condition. According to News 4 San Antonio, two juveniles have been detained and are being questioned in connection with the shooting, although their identities and the circumstances leading up to the incident have not been disclosed.
Investigations are ongoing as police work to determine the motive and sequence of events behind the shooting. Rising juvenile violence has alarmed both the community and local authorities, and this latest incident has heightened concerns about the safety of the city's youth.
