Lance Anthony Hoffpauir, a 42-year-old landscaping business owner from Kemah, has been charged with online solicitation of a minor. Authorities say he engaged in inappropriate communication with an undercover officer posing as a teenage girl. Hoffpauir is accused of sending around 30 sexually explicit photos and messages to an undercover officer, with discussions about meeting in person. He expressed concern about legal consequences, referencing "60 Minutes" and its "Catch a Predator" segment. Investigators used AI facial recognition to match a photo he sent with a past mugshot and his social media profile. He was identified, appeared in court, and was granted a $10,000 bond.
