Kenosha police have detained a 41-year-old man following the fatal stabbing of a man and his dog in a local residence. Authorities responded to the scene near 18th Avenue and 85th Street where they discovered the body of a 52-year-old man and a fatally wounded dog in the basement of a home yesterday, as reported by WISN.

The individual arrested in connection to the incident has been identified as Justin Tercek, though charges against him have yet to be filed. The grim discovery was made shortly after police arrived on scene around 2:30 p.m., which was hours after the homeowner initially reported a possible break-in and a damaged back door at about 11:42 a.m., according to FOX News.
