Kirkland is offering a second chance for residents to apply for advisory boards and commissions. The city has extended the deadline until Friday for those interested in joining these important groups that help shape city policy.
To make it easier to apply, the City of Kirkland is offering childcare stipends for members. Interested individuals must submit their application to the City Clerk's Office by 4 p.m. on the extended deadline. Most positions are filled through City Council appointments, with the exception of the Civil Service Commission, which is filled by the City Manager. Interviews for candidates will be held on March 13, offering an opportunity for applicants to directly present their ideas to the City Council.
