
In a recent hit-and-run incident, a pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries on East Cheyenne Avenue, west of Marion Drive. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the collision took place on Wednesday, shortly before midnight. A witness's account and evidence at the scene reveal that the pedestrian was in the westbound travel lanes when struck by a white pickup truck, which then fled the scene.
The victim, a 25-year-old woman, was subsequently transported to UMC Trauma for emergency care. Despite the severity of her injuries, the identity of the driver remains unknown. At the time of the accident, the vehicle implicated was identified as a Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra, models ranging from 1999 to 2002.
The Las Vegas authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward, with the Collision Investigation Section spearheading the probe into the incident. Tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers, potentially leading to a cash reward if they culminate in a felony arrest, or indictment.
