The Miami Heat defeated the San Antonio Spurs 105-103 on Saturday night, with Bam Adebayo hitting a last-second 19-foot jumper. Adebayo finished with 30 points and 13 rebounds, as reported by FOX San Antonio.
The Spurs played without Victor Wembanyama, who was out due to an undisclosed illness, marking his sixth missed game of the season. Keldon Johnson scored 19 points for San Antonio, but the team was unable to secure the win. Terry Rozier returned to the court with Miami after being involved in a federal investigation regarding betting patterns during his 2023 stint with the Charlotte Hornets. Rozier contributed 19 points, including 5-for-9 on 3-pointers. Miami's victory was their third in four games, according to AP News.
Adebayo's winning shot helped the Heat secure a victory, while Chris Paul's 19-foot jumper for the Spurs missed with five seconds remaining. In Wembanyama's absence, Charles Bassey contributed nine points and 15 rebounds. The Heat will play their next game in Chicago on February 4, while the Spurs will face Memphis on February 3. Due to the annual livestock show and rodeo, the Spurs will play away from their home arena until March, with games scheduled in Austin on February 20 and 21, as stated by FOX San Antonio.
