A League City resident has been detained and charged with possession of child pornography after a tip-off initiated a multi-agency operation, culminating in his arrest, as law enforcement confirmed earlier this week. According to FOX 26 Houston, Taylor Hart, 34, is facing two counts after police discovered more than fifty depictions or videos during a search of his League City home.
The investigation into Hart's activities started back in November of last year when an anonymous source tipped off the League City Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division and the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. A three-month period of meticulous investigative work then ensued against Hart, which finally led to the execution of a search warrant at his residence on the 1100 block of West Main Street. "Officials said a search of the home found several electronic devices containing child pornography," as reported by FOX 26 Houston.
Hart was arrested without incident and is currently being held in the League City Jail, with his total bond set at $160,000. Click2Houston notes that the League City Police Department acknowledged the support from the Houston Metro ICAC investigators and officers from the Pearland, Texas City, and La Porte police departments, as well as the Department of Homeland Security, in this case.
