Dr. Robert Brown, 76, reunited with Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Chief Jaime Eason, who saved his life after he suffered cardiac arrest. Brown collapsed at a Toastmasters meeting on December 11 at Aspire Church, with no pulse. Chief Eason, nearby at the time, quickly stepped in to help, as stated by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Eason rushed to help after panicked Toastmasters members called 911. Inside the church, she performed CPR and used an AED to revive Brown. "I still have life in my eyes," Brown said, recalling the incident. Jacksonville Fire Rescue took over and got him to the hospital, where his daughter happened to be working, as reported by the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office on their Facebook page, Dr. Brown reunited with Chief Eason at a Toastmasters event, which was arranged as a surprise. The post emphasized the importance of CPR and AED training, encouraging the public to get certified through the Red Cross and the American Heart Association. "We’re happy to report that Dr. Brown is alive and well . Just days after the near-death experience, he celebrated his 52nd wedding anniversary with his wife, Wanda."
