The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is hosting a donation event on Friday next week from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Kaua‘i Resource Center, located at 3460 Ahukini Road in Līhu‘e. They are accepting donations of clothing, books, and small furniture.

According to a release from the County of Kauai, the ARC invites individuals and businesses to donate items, including used clothing, toys, and furniture. Even if clothes are torn or stained, they are still accepted. However, electronic waste and broken items cannot be accepted.

To ensure safety and ease, donors are asked to stay in their vehicles while staff members collect the donations. For those unable to transport larger items or businesses with donations, the ARC offers pick-up services. Call 808-241-4838 to arrange a pick-up time.

If pick-up from the Salvation Army is not possible, Habitat for Humanity Restore and RP’s Random Closet are available for home pick-up services. Contact Habitat for Humanity at 808-335-6105 or RP’s Random Closet at 808-346-0020. RP’s Random Closet operates on a for-profit basis. For information on recycling or reuse programs, contact the Kaua‘i County recycling hotline at 808-241-4841 or visit their website.
