In a routine culmination of a month-long narcotics investigation, Lincoln County Sheriff's Office has arrested Donnie Ray Wallace, 50, who was allegedly involved in substantial drug trafficking activities. The arrest took place last Wednesday, and marks a significant effort in combatting the drug distribution that has been plaguing the area.
Investigative work leading up to the arrest enabled law enforcement to closely observe Wallace's movements. According to an online report by Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Wallace has been suspected of selling large amounts to definitely stretch across Lincoln County and its neighbors. Undercover operations and various other surveillance tactics were employed to gather sufficient evidence for his apprehension. On the day of the arrest, detectives received a tip-off on Wallace's location and discovered him with a quantity of Fentanyl, methamphetamine, and an illegal firearm in his possession.
It was found during a subsequent search that Wallace, a convicted felon, had in his possession 20 grams of Fentanyl, methamphetamine, and a firearm. Due to his felony status, Wallace is prohibited from firearm ownership. He now faces multiple charges, including trafficking in opium or heroin, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a felon, carrying a concealed weapon, and possessing a controlled substance in a penal institution. Initially held under no bond, a $75,000 secured bond was later established on Friday, given his preexisting bond conditions for other charges.
Another individual, Allyson Kerri Peace, 23, was also implicated during the traffic stop. Charged with possession of methamphetamine, Peace was subsequently released to easily obtain an unsecured bond.
