Early this morning, a traffic accident in the Del Rey neighborhood involved an RV and resulted in a substantial diesel fuel spill. The Los Angeles Fire Department reported that approximately 10 gallons of diesel fuel had poured onto the street at 12606 W Culver Blvd.

The Department of Transportation is currently managing the flow of vehicles while Culver Blvd remains closed in both directions from Braddock to mid-block, according to the LAFD. Clean-up crews from cooperating Los Angeles City agencies have been requested to assist in managing the aftermath of the spill.

Thankfully, there have been no injuries to either LAFD personnel or civilians, as per the Los Angeles Fire Department. Fire Station 67 along with Battalion 4, West Bureau operatives, and other units were promptly on the scene to address the environmental hazard.
