Los Angeles firefighters swiftly contained a blaze that erupted in a one-story home in the Central Alameda neighborhood this afternoon, according to official reports. The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) responded to a call at 1170 E 50th Street at approximately 12:03 PM, with flames visible upon their arrival.

The first alert from the LAFD stated, "One-story home with fire showing. Firefighters are operating in the offensive mode." The incident, cataloged as INC#0745 did not threaten any additional structures in the vicinity. 

Within a mere 9 minutes, 34 firefighters managed to knock down the fire, confining it to a single room and averting its spread through the rest of the house. The LAFD's follow-up statement indicated that "Thirty-four firefighters quickly extinguished flames in one room of a single-family home in 9 minutes, preventing the fire from spreading through the house." Fortunately, the quick action led to no reported injuries, and an investigation into the cause of the fire is currently underway.
