
Law enforcement officials in Macomb County seized nearly ten pounds of narcotics during raids in St. Clair Shores and Eastpointe on Tuesday. Officers executed two search warrants, resulting in the confiscation of more than three pounds of cocaine, thousands of pills, and six pounds of marijuana. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is approximately $100,000, as stated by ClickOnDetroit.
The County of Macomb Enforcement Team arrested two people during an operation targeting suspected drug activity. The Michigan State Police Second District reported that officers seized 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, 1,883 pills containing oxycodone, hydrocodone, and alprazolam, and over $20,000 in cash intended for forfeiture.
According to the Michigan State Police Second District on their X account, law enforcement agencies, including County of Macomb Enforcement Team, MSP's 2nd District Headquarters, the St. Clair Shores Police Department, and the Eastpointe Police Department, conducted a drug enforcement operation in Macomb County. The operation was supported by a Byrne JAG grant (#2022-MU-BX-0011) from the Bureau of Justice Assistance and administered by Michigan State Police. The investigation is ongoing, with suspects' names withheld pending further inquiry.
