Authorities in Houston are currently piecing together the circumstances surrounding a deadly confrontation at a gas station. The Houston Police Department responded to a shooting that claimed the life of a 35-year-old man on Sunday evening. The incident occurred at the 3755 North Macgregor Way around 5:55 p.m. The identity of the deceased is still under verification process by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
According to the details shared by HPD Homicide Division Detectives L. Barrett and P. Michon, an altercation unfolded that escalated into a physical fight and ultimately the fatal shooting. In a report by the City of Houston, officers arrived at the scene to find the victim unresponsive by the gas pumps. Houston Fire Department paramedics then pronounced the male deceased.
The preliminary investigation suggests the victim had an argument with an unknown suspect that led to the victim being shot. Witnesses have yet to provide a comprehensive account, and the suspect remains at large. Described as an unknown male, he was last seen fleeing the scene in a white Nissan Altima with black rims.
