A fatal incident occurred early this morning on the Northeast Side when a man was struck and killed by a car. The accident was reported to have happened just before 5 a.m. near the intersection of Walzem Road and Gibbs Sprawl Road, as noted by Fox San Antonio.
According to the police, the pedestrian was attempting to cross the street when he was hit by a sedan. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and called for assistance. The man, unfortunately, was pronounced dead on the scene, as per a report by News 4 San Antonio.
No charges have been filed against the driver as of now. The area where the incident occurred lacks proper lighting, which could be a contributing factor to the accident.
