A stabbing incident that occurred in Pittsburgh's Stanton Heights neighborhood has left one man in critical condition. According to an official report by the Pittsburgh Police, officers from Zone 5 were dispatched to the vicinity of Woodbine Street and Stanton Terrace after receiving reports of the event shortly before 6:30 p.m.
Upon their arrival, police found the adult male victim on the sidewalk, suffering from a stab wound to his upper left arm. To stem the bleeding, officers applied a tourniquet and provided aid until EMS personnel took over. Pittsburgh EMS subsequently transported the injured man to an area hospital, where he underwent surgery and has been updated to stable condition.
Details about the stabbing are still unclear, but witnesses said it was due to a disagreement between the victim and a man who knew him. The Mobile Crime Unit collected evidence at the scene.
