Following a violent encounter outside Bunny's Convenience Store on Elm Street in Manchester, a local man was arrested for a stabbing that left a 42-year-old man with multiple wounds. Kyle Bisson, aged 25, has been charged with Second Degree Assault and 2 counts of Falsifying Evidence, according to a Manchester NH Police social media post.
The incident, described by Manchester NH Police as "extreme violence and randomness," occurred last Friday evening. Officers were quick to respond, providing immediate care to the victim before his transfer to a local hospital. It didn't take long post-incident for authorities to apprehend Bisson on nearby Bridge Street. Despite the severity of the crime and prior convictions, including a Domestic Violence – Criminal Threatening charge from October 2024, a magistrate opted to release Bisson on personal recognizance (PR) bail.
In a hearing the following day, it was revealed by the police that there seemed to be no prior relationship between the assailant and the victim. Officers detailed a chilling account of the event, where "at one point during the fight, the victim reportedly tried to run, and Bisson followed him, continuing to stab him," as reported by the Manchester NH Police. This narrative was part of an argument for Preventative Detention by the State.
Despite these concerns and the context provided by Manchester Police regarding Bisson's recent criminal past, Magistrate Stephanie Johnson granted his release with standard conditions, including a no-contact order with the victim.
