In Manteca, California, three Huskies are looking for their perfect match this Valentine’s season. The Manteca Police Department is showcasing a trio of adoptable dogs, hoping to find them homes. According to a social media post from the department, the dogs, named Timon, Pumba, and Apollo, each have their own personalities and needs.

Timon, the youngest of the group at 2 years old, is described as playful, friendly, and energetic. Already neutered, he enjoys spending time with people. He is not suitable for a home with small animals, but may potentially get along with other dogs after slow introductions. Pumba, another 2-year-old, is also cheerful and high-energy. Neutered as well, Pumba enjoys human company but, like Timon, prefers gradual introductions to other dogs and does not get along with smaller animals.

Apollo, a 4-year-old male, is more independent and may be suited for someone with more dog-handling experience. He is described as dog-selective and handler-sensitive, meaning he may do better in an environment that respects his space. As a husky, Apollo enjoys outdoor activities and is an explorer. For those who can provide the appropriate environment, Apollo could be a good match as a companion.

Those feeling a tug on their heartstrings can contact the Manteca Animal Services between Tuesday and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., or simply drop by the shelter at 115 E Wetmore. Prospective owners and curious visitors can also ring the facility at (209)456-8270.
