Atlanta's nightlife scene is set for new developments with Mayor Andre Dickens announcing the latest additions to the Nightlife Advisory Council (NAC) for this year. According to the City of Atlanta, the council, established in 2022, is responsible for shaping the city's nightlife by addressing public safety, business development, and creating a safe, thriving environment.

Mayor Dickens expressed excitement about the expertise the council brings, stating, "I’m honored we get to work with this dynamic group of leaders to ensure our nightlife community is uplifted and providing us with the guidance we need," as per the City of Atlanta’s news release. Since its launch, the NAC has produced the "Atlanta Nightlife Impact Report," which highlights the $5.1 billion annual economic impact of the industry and the 41,000 jobs it supports in the city.

In addition to economic analysis, the NAC has supported the Nightlife Division’s quarterly “Training Day,” where business representatives receive training in areas such as Conflict De-Escalation, Active Shooter Response, CPR, Narcan Overdose Reversal Training, Security Best Practices, and Stop the Bleed, as mentioned in the same release. After the event, council members and attendees engage in roundtable discussions to share feedback that shapes the council's efforts.

The NAC has contributed to a reduction in crime in Atlanta. Reports indicate significant drops in overall crime, including crimes against people, homicides, aggravated assaults, robbery, auto theft, and property crime. The NAC has also worked with over 1,000 businesses across the city to improve safety and ensure success in the nightlife industry.

The 2025 Nightlife Advisory Council members, as reported by the City of Atlanta, include Mable Abraham, Peter Conlon, Korey Felder, Cortney Foster, and others.
