
Tragedy struck an East Memphis neighborhood yesterday afternoon as a two-vehicle collision involving a Memphis Police Department squad car left a police lieutenant and another man in critical condition. FOX13 Memphis reports that the incident occurred in the 3400 block of Kimball Avenue around 12:45 p.m.
Both the lieutenant, whose service to the community is underscored by the gravity of this accident, and an adult male, found themselves in the thrall of emergency services racing against time to preserve life and limb, were transported to Regional One Health; their conditions remained severe at the time of transport. Local Memphis indicated that the Memphis Police Department was investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
