According to a press release from MPD, officers from the First District were dispatched to the 700 block of H Street, Northeast around 9:42 p.m. following a report of gunfire. They found Jaydon Parson, a 23-year-old from Northwest, DC, unconscious and suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the arrival of DC Fire and EMS and their life-saving attempts, Parson was lost to the injuries he sustained.

The Metropolitan Police Department has made it known that they are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
