The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a homicide in Northeast Washington, DC. Officers from the Fifth District responded to reports of gunshots on the 1600 block of Benning Road, Northeast, on Monday morning, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
At around 12:04 a.m., officers found 48-year-old Larry Evans of Northwest, DC, unconscious and not breathing with a gunshot wound. Despite life-saving efforts by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services, he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are seeking information to aid the investigation, as reported by the Metropolitan Police Department.
The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for a homicide.
